*Dances* I got my learners permit!!!
Ha ha! I did. It took me two tries on the written test, but I did it. Whee! I can now legally drive with a licensed driver over the age of twenty-one in the front seat as long as I wear my contacts. (Restrictions, restrictions....) Really, I'm still stuck if I want to go anywhere and the parental unit doesn't (My bike got stolen [I'll rant about that later] and I refuse to walk all the way across town to visit my friends 3-4 miles away for an hour). The permit's just for practicing, not transportation, but still, big step :D. But, yeah, I failed the first time. I took the test online a bunch of times and took it again today and aced it. 100%. Sweet.
Bike. Stolen. It sucks. A lot. It was locked and everything. I liked that bike, too. Now how do I get over to Hanna's to DDR with her? I'll lose my edge! How do I get over to Albaney's to bug her incessantly? How will mum send me to the store on emergency lemonade runs!?!? Grrr. Oh, well, I can drive now.

My birthday was a last week, which was cool. Got lotsa stuff. My great-grandparents got me this set of beautiful jewelry made of a type of metal I can't figure out how to spell. Mom and auntie Kelly got together to get me a GameBoy Advance SP, and mom got me a Zelda game (WOOT!). Mom's been playing it almost more than I have.
A couple days ago, I went to a speech camp with about half of my high school speech team. I'm doing poetry for my first year, and my topic is scottish poetry. I get to use my favourite poem ever (Save for Annabel Lee) called Scots, Wha Hae (translation= Scots, Who Have.). My speech REALLY needs work, though, but I do have a great start. We stayed at this hotel that was okay, but the rooms were really humid, and a titch overcrowded. Two-thirds of the hotel was under construction, so there were 3-4 people per room with two beds. Sometimes you didn't even know your roommates. I almost had to stay in a room with these two really quiet, really un-fun girls until I moved down the hall to Hanna's room (phew). The best part of the camp was the one-on-one coaching. That was really helpful. The hotel had a pool, but Hanna and I foolishly did not bring swimsuits. I tried to resist, and so did she, we really did, but the allure of an eight-foot-deep pool was too much. So we both jumped in fully clothed. I was wearing shorts and a tee-shirt, but poor Hanna was in jeans. She got tired pretty quickly.
Well, I'm off to check Gaia, and see if anyone interesting is on. See you, mum, Gary, Kelly, Jo, possibly Gunter, Hannah, and Hanna, maybe Matty and Albaney, but I'm not sure about those last two.
